Sandwash- UAE Band

Sandwash are a UAE based rock band, who were one of the earliest bands in the Emirates scene.

Formed in the new days of the underground scene, Sandwash began as a raw punk/rock outfit and became one of Dubai’s foremost music icons. In spite of having written songs from a wide spectrum of styles, Sandwash are best known for pioneering "groovecore" and their music typically features themes about relationships and the highs and lows of being a 20-something in Dubai and the Middle East

Sandwash are best known for creating their unique sound –a form of rock music characterized by vintage guitar riffs, modern metal dynamics and soaring sing-along choruses. They have been performing around the region since 2000 and have received a lot of press attention- having been on the front cover of Time Out Dubai amongst other features and their songs get airplay on many local radio stations. Their new original third album will be released in May 2008.
